Last January 17-21. We, the 1st year Hospitality Management students had a tour on the different parts of Ilocos ( Norte and Sur ).

Our first destination is the " Terra Rika Beach Resort at Pagudpud,Ilocos Norte " Pagudpud is the " Boracay of the North "

Next, we went to the Patapat Viaduct. The Patapat Viaduct is a viaduct at the municipality of Pagudpud,Ilocos Norte. elevated at 31meters over sea level, is 1.3km concrete coastal bridge that connects the Maharlika highway from Laoag to Cagayan Valley Region.

Our next destination is the " Bangui Windmills at Ilocos Norte "
The Bangui Windmills is a project of Northwind Development Corporation as a practice of renewable sources and to help reduce the greenhouse gases that cause Global Warming. The project sells electricity to the Ilocos Norte Electric Cooperative (INEC) and provides 40% of the power requirements of Ilocos Norte via Transco Laoag.

Then after, we went to our hotel " Ilocos Norte Hotel and Convention Center in Laoag City "
Ilocos Norte Hotel and Convention Center is made to create memorable banquets or meetings, big or small, corporate of intimate.

And at the 2nd day of our tour. We went first to the " Malacañang of the North ".
Malacañang of the North is also known as " Malacañang ti Amianan ". It is one of the 29 resthouses of the former president Ferdinand Marcos, built during his 20-year term.

Next, is the Paoay Church in Ilocos Norte is also known as " St. Augustine Church in Paoay ".
The Paoay Church is built during 1694 by the Augustinian friars. It was completed in the year 1894 led by Fr. Antonio Estavillo.

Our next destination is the the " Mausoleum in Batac, Ilocos Norte "
The Mausoleum is the place where the waxed corpse of the former President Ferdinand Marcos is placed for visiting.

Next is the " Sta. Monica Church in Sarrat,Ilocos Norte ". Sta. Monica Church is built in 1779, it is considered to be the biggest church in Ilocos region. Sarrat is the place of birth of the former President Ferdinand Marcos. in 1983, the grand wedding of Irene Marcos-Araneta is held in this church and was considered the " wedding of the century " in the Philippines.

Then we went to the Museo Ilocos Norte. to see the different culutres of the Ilocanos and their different products.

Our next destination is the " St.William's Cathedral in Laoag, Ilocos Norte ".St.William's Cathedral is also known for its sinking bell tower.

Next is the Sand Dunes in Ilocos Norte. this place seems like a desert. you can visit this place and try their sand boarding and the 4x4 ride.

By the nextday. We go straight to Ilocos Sur and have our lunch at the Aniceto Mansion.

Next, is the Baluarte. Baluarte is a Zoo that is owned by Chavit Singson.

And lastly is the Calle Crisologo in Vigan Ilocos Sur. This street have lots of stuff that you can buy, especially for buying of souvenirs or foods. especially their bagnet and the ilocos longganisa.

The Ilocos Tour is such a great experience for me.. I have no regrets in joining this tour. I learned new things especially to the different beautiful places to visit in Ilocos ! I also enjoyed bonding with my blockmates. I will never forget this experience.. and I'm looking forward to visit Ilocos again, soon !
